WCVA-2023 in Sydney and invitation for submission of bids for WCVA-2025

The World Congress of Veterinary Anaesthesiology  (WCVA) is hosted across the world on a rotational basis covering all corners of the globe. A local organizing committee, with the designated chair being a senior veterinary anaesthesiologist, is responsible for organizing the congress and liaising with the WCVA Council who provide assistance as required.

The WCVA is held every three years. The 14th WCVA was to be held in 2021 in Sydney, Australia. However, due to Covid-19 the Congress was postponed and is now scheduled to be held in late March 2023.

The WCVA after Sydney will be held in Autumn of 2025. The Council would like to invite interested parties that would like to host the WCVA Congress in 2025 to submit a Bid. The procedures to be followed can be found in the WCVA website (https://wcvaa.org/policy-to-host-wcva/).

The deadline for submission will be the 30th November, 2022. It should be noted that a pattern is used for the distribution of the congresses (Europe, N. America, other parts of the world). For the Congress after Sydney it is the turn for North America. However, we will accept bids from anywhere but priority will be given to a North American site, other things equal.

For any further information do not hesitate to contact me (drapto@vet.auth.gr). Receiving an early letter of intent would be greatly appreciated.
