Ethical challenges – how can laboratory and clinical vets support each other in decision making?
This webinar aims to promote discussion on ethical decision making across vets in research and clinical practice so that we can learn from each other’s experiences. For instance, when does clinical practice become research, what ethical questions does doing research on companion animals raise? The webinar will be free to attend but requires prior registration. Please feel free to pass on this information to colleagues.
The programme content will be:
- An introduction to some of the areas of difficulty from the perspective of a vet working across both research and clinical fields, Polly Taylor MA VetMB PhD DVA DipECVAA MRCA FRCVS, independent consultant in veterinary anaesthesia
- A consideration of some ethical concepts, including frameworks of how vets might best approach ethical questions/ assessment, Kate Millar BSc (Hons) PhD, Director, Centre for Applied Bioethics, Faculty of Science
