About the meeting
The motto of AVA spring meeting 2024 in Baden, Switzerland is:
Time out – take your time, sit back and assess what’s going on.
More and more anaesthetists are experiencing too much pressure from mounting daily challenges in an era marked by ever increasing expectations for delivery of clinical care. The result is burn out, decompensation and departure from the speciality – or even from the veterinary profession.
Our aim is to provide optimal service, not destroy the environment, be affordable for the owner and appropriate for the patient.
Can we achieve all this?
How can we fulfil all these aims without becoming overwhelmed?
The AVA spring meeting 2024 is designed to take a break, stand back and look in the mirror to work out how we can stay happy and be good animal anaesthetists – now and in the future.
Let’s take the time to analyse, network, discuss, argue – and also just to have a good time together.
Baden is the perfect location for the purpose of this conference- every hour there is a direct train form Zürich airport and in only 31 minutes you are there. The city is little and calm, but you will find a surprising variety of restaurants, unique bars, clubs and music venues or the famous Grand Casino Baden.
During lunch break you might take a walk along the river Limmat or enjoy a panoramic view from the Stein ruins – Baden has a lot to offer its guests. Also the natural warmth and power of the thermal springs, that have been used for 2,000 years can be enjoyed. One million liters of Switzerland’s most mineral-rich thermal water bubble up daily at a temperature of 47°C from 18 sulfur springs. Thus, a rich culture of relaxation has also developed in the Limmat city, just waiting to be discovered-also on the weekend following the conference.
Badens thermal baths provide numerous offers, some of which are free of charge as the publicly accessible thermal seats with view on the river Limmat. You can bring body, soul and mind into harmony in the historical thermal baths where you can experience the traditional bath tubs in the Atrium-Hotel Blume or relax in the Novum Spa or the private spa suites in the Limmathof Baden Hotel & Spa….
Come to AVA spring conference in Baden to refresh your mind and load your batteries.
