Dear friends and colleagues,

On behalf of the European College and the European Society of Veterinary Neurology, we are proud to invite you to the 33^rd ESVN-ECVN annual Symposium, which will be held virtually on 17^th and 18^th September 2021.

“PAIN” is the main topic of the Symposium.  “Pain” was chosen because not yet officially discussed in our meetings and increasingly common in our daily practice.

The scientific program was designed to include human and veterinary keynote speakers to provide a comparative view and new insights. “Neuroanaesthesia” will be the topic of the resident-day, offered on Thursday 16^th September 2021.

As you already know, given the persisting emergency across Europe related to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Organizing Committee and the ECVN Executive Committee have unanimously decided to hold the Symposium online. Even in these challenging times, we feel sure that the online Symposium represents an opportunity for the community of veterinary neurologists to meet after a long time, and we firmly hope you will take the chance to participate.
