We are pleased to welcome you all to the unique and exciting city of Liverpool from 20th to 22nd May.

We would be delighted to have you join us to exchange knowledge, share experiences and discuss the latest advances in veterinary anaesthesia.

Our Pre-congress Day will consist of two parallel streams:

1) Dedicated nursing themes – aimed at inspiring veterinary nurses to develop and integrate advanced nursing skills into anaesthesia practice. A mixture of lectures, practical and discussion sessions.

2) Resident training topics –  focussed on how developing your understanding of statistics will improve the scientific rigour of your research, improve your publication success and enhance your critical evaluation skills.

Our main Congress will spotlight the critical topic of pain assessment and treatment in both veterinary and human anaesthesia disciplines. What are our unique, as well as shared challenges and opportunities, and what can we learn from each other?

We have assembled a programme fostering a truly translational approach, delivered by experts in their fields which we hope will encourage lively and informed discussion.

Whilst we hope our scientific programme will excite and entertain you, the city of Liverpool and it’s surroundings are rich in history, arts, science, culture, sport, natural beauty and so much more. Our social programme aims to showcase this with the Welcome Reception in the magnificent, iconic Anglican Cathedral and the Gala Dinner in the waterfront Museum right in the heart of the Liverpool, where you can immerse yourself in everything the city has to offer.
