Deb’s Foundation PetSavers Clinical Research Project Grant
The Debs Foundation was set up in memory of a wonderful, special and loved person called Debbie Gittleson. We support charities that reflect the causes she believed in and advocated for.
From a very young age, Debs loved and cared for animals. Growing up in Sheffield, we were surrounded by small pets. Knowing this was her passion, Debs studied and qualified as a vet, moving into practice caring for large and small animals. After a few years, she decided to become a writer, publishing a text book on Pain Management for Small Animals and writing on new treatments that were available for vets. Supporting animal welfare charities is at the heart of The Debs Foundation.
The funding for the grant is a collaboration between the Deb’s Foundation (https://www.thedebsfoundation.org.uk/who-we-are) and BSAVA-PetSavers and is designated for projects with the aim improving understanding and management of pain in companion animals. The value is £10 000 each year for at least the next two year. The work would need to comply with BSAVA-PetSavers (https://www.bsava.com/About-us/PetSavers) usually T&Cs (no experimental animals and UK based).
This new CRP project grant that will be advertised in the next few months
