Education updates

A new feature of the updated and revised AVA website is the bimonthly educational updates. The aim is to make the website more active and interactive and also to attract more members from all walks of veterinary anaesthesia; veterinary surgeons working in practice, veterinary anaesthesia technicians and nurses and veterinary anaesthetists that are not already members of AVA and familiar with the website. I have been charged with the task of editing the educational updates and so in conjunction with Yves I have been emailing people like crazy trying to drum up willing volunteers to act as sub editors and coordinate contributions from different aspects of veterinary anaesthesia.
In the first issue you will see that there is a section for large and small animals, exotics, drug legislation, veterinary technicians, and anaesthesia residents. We are aiming to expand this to include ICU and critical care updates, equipment updates and a section dedicated to advances in pain management. The sub editors have worked extremely hard and have had to put up with a lot of emails from me to coordinate the updates and I am very grateful for their help.
We are extremely grateful to Pfizer Animal Health and Matrx who have agreed to sponsor the website in 2008.
